How Was Your Weekend

The Short Answer

It was a good weekend, thanks.
Nothing special, I stayed at home.
It was quiet, and I needed that.
Honestly, it went too fast.
How was yours?

What I Did

On Saturday I met my friends in the park.
We did not plan anything, we just walked around.
I finally finished the book I started in May.
My wife and I cooked dinner together.
I did not do much on Sunday.

Where and With Whom

We went to a small cafe near the river.
My brother came over with his two kids.
There was a market in the square on Sunday.
We did not go far, just to my parents' place.
Who did you spend the weekend with?

What I Liked

The best part was the walk after dinner.
I really enjoyed the concert on Friday night.
The food was great, but the music was too loud.
It was nice to do nothing for once.
What was the best part of your weekend?

What Went Wrong

It rained all Saturday, so we stayed inside.
We wanted to go to the lake, but the car broke down.
I overslept and missed the morning train.
The restaurant was full, so we ordered pizza.
Nothing went as planned, and it was still fun.

Usually and This Time

I usually sleep late, but this time I got up early.
We used to go to the cinema every Sunday.
This weekend was busier than the last one.
Normally I work on Saturday, but not this week.
Do you usually work at the weekend?

When and How Long

We stayed there until about ten in the evening.
The whole trip took us three hours by car.
I slept for ten hours on Sunday night.
We left early because the kids were tired.
How long did it take you to get there?

Asking Back

Did you go anywhere interesting?
What did you do on Saturday night?
Was the weather better where you were?
Did you manage to get some rest?
Tell me more about that, it sounds great.

The Whole Story

My weekend was quiet, and that was the plan.
On Saturday we met friends and walked until dark.
It rained on Sunday, so we cooked and watched a film.
The best part was that nobody was in a hurry.
Next weekend I am going to do exactly the same.
